Minor repairs that prevent major problems

Most gutter problems start small — a loose bracket, a cracked joint, a leaking union. Caught early during a routine clean, these are quick and inexpensive to fix. Left untreated, they lead to overflowing gutters, damp walls, and potentially costly structural repairs.

During every gutter clean we inspect the full guttering system and flag any issues we find. Minor repairs can usually be carried out in the same visit.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Can gutters be repaired or do they need replacing?

In most cases gutters can be repaired rather than fully replaced. Resealing a leaking joint, re-fixing a dropped bracket or swapping a single cracked section is far quicker and cheaper than a full replacement. We only recommend replacing a run when the material is badly corroded, brittle or beyond economical repair — and we'll always tell you honestly which option makes sense for your property.

Do you repair cast iron gutters?

Yes. Many older Kent properties still have original cast-iron guttering, and we're happy to work on it. We can re-seal joints, re-fix brackets and replace individual lengths where needed. Where a section is too far gone, we'll advise whether a like-for-like cast section or a modern equivalent is the better fit.

What causes gutters to leak or fail?

The most common causes are degraded sealant at joints (which dries out over time), loose or corroded brackets, and physical damage from ladders, branches or frost. Regular cleaning helps us spot problems early before they cause damage.

Do you charge for repairs identified during a gutter clean?

Minor repairs identified during a clean are priced separately and we'll always advise you before carrying out any work. There's no obligation and no surprise charges.
